Signe Rähesoo appointed CEO of AS KredEx Krediidikindlustus

‘The role of KredEx Krediidikindlustus in supporting the export growth of Estonian enterprises has grown year-by-year, and support for export-capable enterprises is of vital importance today, at a time when there is a great deal of uncertainty all around the world due to the pandemic’, said Ivo Kuldmäe, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of KredEx Krediidikindlustus and CEO of KredEx. ‘Signe is an extremely competent leader with a clear vision – under her leadership we can, with the KredEx Krediidikindlustus team, support Estonian companies in finding new opportunities for growth.’

Signe Rähesoo wishes to apply her current knowledge and experience to furthering the growth of sales volumes and raising the awareness of entrepreneurs regarding credit insurance. ‘Already today, the rate of our credit limits among the export turnover of all Estonian enterprises is above three per cent, but there is certainly potential for growth here. We can offer risk mitigation in foreign markets to companies with ambitious export plans’, said Rähesoo, who added that export growth is an important contributor to both the growth of the Estonian economy, as well as society’s confidence in a broader sense.

Signe Rähesoo took office as the Chairman of the Management Board of KredEx Krediidikindlustus on 5 April; her term of office is four years. Along with Rähesoo, the Head of the Enterprise Department at KredEx, Kaarel Aus, also belongs to the Management Board of KredEx Krediidikindlustus.

Signe Rähesoo, who has about 25 years of experience in the financial sector, worked at the Luminor Group for the past three years, having served as a Member of the Management Board and the Head of the Leasing Product Unit at Luminor Liising since 2019. Previously, she has worked at different positions in the Nordea Group and at insurance companies ERGO and IF P&C Insurance. Signe Rähesoo holds a Master’s level degree in Economics from the University of Tartu.

As at the end of 2020, KredEx Krediidikindlustus has issued over 5500 credit limits in a total of 68 foreign countries.

KredEx Krediidikindlustus is a credit insurance company that offers insurance solutions for enterprises wishing to protect themselves from potential solvency problems of purchasers, mitigate company risks, and expand to new markets more boldly. Over a period of ten years, KredEx has insured turnover in the extent of over EUR 5 billion and compensated companies for damages of nearly EUR 6 million. The company employs a total of 15 people.
